"8 Months Till Christmas" Fun Blog Hop

Welcome to our "8 Months Till Christmas" Fun Blog Hop.  This is our 3rd month now doing this little fun hop and we now have 6 people joining in on the fun.  The reason I started this fun hop was to force myself to create at least 2 Christmas cards a month so that when December came I would have quite a few cards already made, and so that I was not so stressed out come November/December trying desperately to get my Christmas card list completed.  I mentioned this to my BFF's Heather and Mary and they said they liked the idea and wanted to join me on this adventure.  Since we have started, we have found 3 other ladies to join in on the fun!

If you are following the hop you shoud have come here from the very talented MARY'S blog, but if you happened by my blog just by chance, please go to GEORGIANA'S blog to start at the beginning.   Below you will find a blog list for you to follow in case you have gotten lost.  Hope that you may get some Christmas inspiration from this hop so that you too can start your cards early this year.

SSD April Release Blog Hop! (Kutie Kim Roller Girl)

Hello and welcome to the Sassy Studio Designs April Release Blog Hop!  If you are following the hop you should have arrived from the VERY tallented Sara's blog, but if you just happened by to see what I have been up to then you have come at the right time to join in our blog hop at SSD.  I have a list of the blog hop order below my post if you would like to start at the beginning to join in the fun and win some FABULOUS digi stamps!  All you have to do is visit all the DT blogs and leave them some love for a chance to win!

We have been asked to tell you about our favorite tool that we can not live with out, but I have two - I can not live with out my COPIC MARKERS (if you follow my blog you knew that I would say this one as I ALWAYS use my copics!) and my CUTTLEBUG to cut all my fun shapes and emboss my papers.  I feel that both these tools are so worth the money, especially the Cuttlebug as you can use it with Cuttlebug dies/folders, Sizzix dies/folders, Quickuts Dies -any die/folders will go through this machine and it does not take up much room on your shelf!
My card I have to show you today is using the brand new "KUTIE KIM ROLLER GIRL"

As soon as I saw this image my past flashed before my eyes!  I had a friend back in grade school that LOVED to roller skate every weekend, and of course I would go with her and it was such a blast!  I did this all in the 80's when leg-warmers were in style as were VERY bright colours, so that is how I came up with this card......Oh the memories!! She kinda looks like I did when I was young and skinny!! & I sooo remember dressing like this too!.....
I could not resist using the pop bottle paper for this image as I thought it was fitting, kinda retro!  The sentiment I used, I bought a long time ago to go with a skate boarder stamp that I have but have never used and it was PERFECT for this image!
 SUPPLIES USED:
* Image:  Sassy Studio Designs - Kutie Kim Roller Girl
* Sentiment:  from Stampendous "Skating By to Say Hi"
* 5x6.5 Card & Envelope
* Copic X-Press Paper
* Copic Markers (colours used listed below)

* Ink:  Close to My Heart - Orange

DTBST#120 - Sketch (Wonder Regan)

Hello and Happy Thursday!  It is time again for another challenge at Sassy Studio Designs, and this week we have an amazing sketch for you to follow;
Personally I have never before followed a sketch before so this was a first for me, and I had so much fun!  I found this sketch very easy to work with, maybe you could give it a try to and enter in this weeks challenge =)

Here is a picture of my "sketch" card for this week's challenge.....I used "Wonder Regan" for this card - As soon as I saw this image when it was released I knew I had to have it!  When I was growing up, every week I had to watch Diana Prince/Wonder Woman on TV (uh oh, age is showing)!  I soooo wanted to grow up and be just like her LOL!  My Mom would never let me be Wonder Woman for Halloween though as it is usually freezing cold or snowing here in Ontario, Canada at Halloween so any costume you wore had to be able to fit a snowsuit under it, and Wonder Woman would not work :(
SUPPLIES USED:
* Image: " Wonder Regan" from Sassy Studio Designs
* 5x6.5 Card and Envelope
* Copic X-Press Paper
* Copic Markers (colours listed below)
* Spelbinders Nestabilities: Oval & Scalloped Oval

* Spellbinders Nestabilities: Oval & Scalloped Oval
* "You're Wonder-Ful" Sentiment: hand written by me, using my Creative Memories Pens
* 3D Pop Dots
* ATG

Here is a close-up of the coloured image - "Wonder Regan".......
COPIC COLOURS USED:
