Here is my High Hopes Stamps Christmas card for this super fun hop where I used the High Hopes Winter Wonderland Background and masked the new High Hopes Candy Cane Penguin stamp....
On the background stamp I made one of the snowy hills into ice for this fun Penguin to skate on.  To colour the sky and the ice I took a q-tip saturated in the Copic 0 Blender solution and wet both areas then I took a refill bottle of Copic B0000 and went over the areas I put the 0 Blender to create the shaded sky and ice.  After that was dry I then took my 0 Blender marker and added skating lines to the ice.

Here is a look at how I decorated the inside of the card....
Supplies Used:
* Outside Sentiment:  High Hopes Warm Winter Wishes
* Copic Markers (colours used listed below)

4 Months Till Christmas Hop!!!!

Hey there!  So glad that you came to visit today for my 4 Months Till Christmas Hop!!  I am the first stop on the hop so you are in the right place!

This month's hop is one of my favorite themes so far as we were to create 2 Christmas projects Inspired by a Christmas Song or Christmas Carol!  For those that know me well know that I CONSTANTLY play Christmas music from the middle of November right through to December 25th.  I just love all the amazing songs being played on the radio (and in my CD player!) Heck even on Christmas Day with my Mom`s side of the family we always sing Christmas Carols before we get to presents, family tradition!

All the ladies this month will be sharing with you two Christmas projects based on Christmas songs of their choice, I hope that you will hop around and maybe even sing a few bars of these wonderful Christmas tunes!  I will have a full hop list at the end of my post =)

My first card I am going to show you was inspired my newest favorite Christmas song, lets see if you know it....

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas
Only a hippopotamus will do
Don't want a doll, no dinky Tinker Toy
I want a hippopotamus to play with and enjoy

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas
I don't think Santa Claus will mind, do you?
He won't have to use our dirty chimney flue
Just bring him through the front door,
that's the easy thing to do

I can see me now on Christmas morning,
creeping down the stairs
Oh what joy and what surprise
when I open up my eyes
to see a hippo hero standing there

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas
Only a hippopotamus will do
No crocodiles, no rhinoceroses
I only like hippopotamuses
And hippopotamuses like me too

Mom says the hippo would eat me up, but then
Teacher says a hippo is a vegetarian.
(Short Music Interlude)
There's lots of room for him in our two-car garage
I'd feed him there and wash him there and give him his massage

I can see me now on Christmas morning,
creeping down the stairs
Oh what joy and what surprise
when I open up my eyes
to see a hippo hero standing there

I want a hippopotamus for Christmas
Only a hippopotamus will do
No crocodiles or rhinoceroseses
I only like hippopotamuseses
And hippopotamuses like me too!
Ok I know you sang the song didn't you? It is such a FUN song and so addictive =)

Hello and Welcome to our 6 Months Till Chrismas Blog Hop! Oh Yeah you read right, 6 months!  Have you started your shopping yet?  How about your Christmas Cards?  Well this fun hop will hopefully inspire you to get started on your own cards to releive some stress closer to the holiday =)

If you are new to our hop here is a little about us...Last year I challenged myself to create 2 Christmas cards a month and to post them on my blog on the 25th of each month to count down to Christmas, so that when the holiday's arrived I was not so stressed out trying to get all my cards done in time to give out.  I mentioned this to a few of my friends and they all wanted to join in and then some from blogland asked as well.  So now on the 25th of each month myself and a few talented ladies post 2 Christmas projects for our hop to share with all our blogland friends =)

Each month we have a new theme and this months theme for our hop is - Photo Inspiration, see photo below (this is a picture of my dinning room table when I had my friends Todd and Heather over just before Christmas last year =)

Following the photo above I chose to use the colours Red & Black and the Snowman as well.  I made each card using the same papers as well as the same colour scheme and similar supplies and Copic colours too.

Here is card #1 using a Whipper Snapper stamp called "Snow is overrated" - check out the snow, it is Extra Fine Flower Soft!....
